- The Elections Act stipulates that the mayor and aldermen of The Hague are responsible for the registration of Dutch nationals who are entitled to vote and who live abroad. The municipality of The Hague has received this assignment from the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
The system that the gemsupporting Eente The Hague in this special assignment is an important instrument for the proper organization of elections for Voters Outside the Netherlands (KBN). The system is called KBN6. The municipality of The Hague is the intellectual owner of the software KBN6.
