- Description : The department of Geoscience & Remote Sensing intents to purchase a precise absolute quantum gravimeter to collect laboratory and field measurements at the ΞΌGal-level accuracy. The instrument is to satisfy the requirements that are specified in this document.The primary goal of the instrument is to measure time series of absolute gravity all around the world including both the Netherlands and remote locations such as Greenland and Antarcticai) to infer absolute vertical movements of the Earth's crust andii) to infer mass changes in the Earth's system.To that end, the measurements are to be systematically performed at selected locations and the instrument has to be operated over various time scales (from hours to months). The gravimeter must be easily transportable (when in containers) and deployable.
