Energie Beheer Nederland B.V. (EBN) is 100 percent owned by the Dutch state. We implement parts of the climate and energy policy of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy.
Until 2016, we mainly focused on the exploration, extraction and storage of gas and oil. Nowwe are one of the driving forces behind the energy transition in the Netherlands. EBN has in-depth knowledge of the Dutch subsurface and plays a key role in connecting private and public parties in the energy sector. Cooperation is of great importance to realize the climate ambitionsknow.
Participations
EBN is involved as a non-operating partner in almost all oil and gas projects in the Netherlands. Our interest in these activities ranges from 40 percent to 50 percent. The proceeds from this benefit the treasury and therefore Dutch society.
