- PWN intends to apply UV technology for the 'post-disinfection' purification step at the Wim Mensink drinking water production location in Wijk aan Zee.
PWN had a preliminary design made by engineering firm Sweco. PWN is currently faced with deciding how to proceed with this projectto continue there. The following 2 options are being considered:
- Drawing up design and specifications by an engineering firm and then selecting the executive contractor(s) via a tender;
- Using a construction team by one or more contractors, the final design and execution designand then also have the execution carried out.
The execution of the work mainly concerns: underground infrastructure, construction, mechanical engineering and electricity/instrumentation. Process automation is performed in-house.
