• The municipality believes it is important that everyone in our city participates and can also participate in more sustainable. In addition to the challenges of uncertain energy prices, the broader context is that the municipality of Rotterdam has an ambitious sustainability task. Research has shown that at the micro and smallSMEs extra attention and support is needed. In comparison with large companies, these SMEs often have no specialists in the field of sustainability and maintenance of property (s). To stimulate this micro and small SMEs to have the necessary steps in sustainability, theMunicipality extra support this group, by making sustainability as easy as possible. The contracting authority wants to achieve and support as much micro and small SMEs as possible in the selected neighborhoods. With more sustainability as an important pillar, the contracting authority aims at SMEsIn neighborhoods that have become the hardest by the energy crisis structurally saving energy with the aim of making these SMEs less vulnerable to rising and uncertain energy prices and to make SMEs (even more) resistant to the future.
