  • Tenders are invited for Technological Enablers for Integrity Assurance at User Level in Multi-Layer Pnt Architectures - Expro Plus Emerging Safety-of-Life applications require sub-decimeter navigation accuracy in different user environments. User technologies and algorithms enabling the exploration of LEO-PNT signals for integrity services can allow such services for these demanding applications. Safety-of-Life applications have stringent integrity requirements that challenge current receiver architectures relying on theGNSS/dead-reckoning sensors data fusion algorithms. The development of new space-based PNT systems in various orbits complementing the existing MEO systems, such as LEO and Inclined Geo-synchronous orbits (IGSO), yields a potentially significant increase of measurement diversity including a larger number of satellites in view and measurements, fast geometry change, different signals and frequencies. In turn, this diversity of measurements can enable improved integrity monitoring algorithms at the user level.The activity will explore and demonstrate novel receiver technologies and algorithms that take advantage from the signals in multi-layer PNT architecture, enabling their exploitation by Safety-of-Life users. It will address some technological challenges resulting from the additional measurements, including: - New frequency bands which can be affected by different feared events (e.g. atmosphere, noise floor, etc.). - Feared events associated with additional signals and their associated Orbit Determination and Time Synchronization (ODTS)mechanisms (e.g. LEO if disciplined to GNSS, IGSO, etc.). New algorithms and techniques, as well as adaptations of existing ones, will be needed in order to cope with these challenges.This activity encompasses the following tasks:- State-of-the-art review of thelatest developments of integrity monitoring algorithms at the user level for Safety-of-Life application including Least Square (LS)and Residual Based RAIM techniques, Range Consensus (RANCO), Multiple Hypothesis Solution Separation (MHSS) integrity algorithms, etc.;Definition and design of a RAIM-based integrity monitoring algorithm for multi-layer PNT architectures, considering for examplethe combination of GNSS and dead-reckoning measurements with measurements from additional space-based PNT systems such as LEO, IGSO, etc. Implementation of the algorithms and validation via simulations, possibly complemented with data from field trials if available (e.g. augmented reality with real GNSS and dead-reckoning measurements)
