- Description:
- The RDW needs a Framework Agreement with one tenderer for the supply and maintenance of the VIN impact equipment. VIN stands for; Vehicle Identification Number. Hereinafter 'VIN'.
VIN impact equipment is used by the RDW for impacting pre-programmed numbering on frames of a votestify. It is the "fingerprint" of the vehicle. These numbers are important for the vehicle with which an identity is issued on the frame of the vehicle. This number is applied in various places in the vehicle on vehicle parts that are made of iron, steel and/or aluminum andis hammered or engraved in a fixed part.
The RDW has, in addition to the manufacturer of the vehicle, the exclusive right within the Netherlands to apply a VIN to a vehicle.
The RDW wishes to contract a supplier who can supply this equipment, including the necessary software, for the RDWand can also maintain during the term of the agreement.
