Description:
Specially equipped vehicles are required for regular maintenance of the tram and metro area as well as for resolving calamities and malfunctions of the overhead line, the so-called Overhead Line Installation Vehicles, hereinafter referred to as BMWs. These vehicles are suitable for rail transport as on public roads and are equipped with an aerial platform so that the technicians can be brought to the location where the work needs to be carried out.
The oldest car (number 2040) is approaching the end of its technical lifespan and must be replaced replace.
That is why RET wants to replace the catenary installation car no. 2040 with a new car that meets the current technical and environmental requirements and that is easy to use and has few problems with malfunctions.
The objective is to reach an agreement with one supplier for:
- delivering one new BMW and,
- maintenance and service (breakdown service) for the relevant BMW.
