Description:
Tenders are invited for Stage 1 - EGNOS System Studies for Railways. HE-ESA-024 - STAGE 1 - EGNOS SYSTEM STUDIES FOR RAILWAYS- The objective of this activity is to support the introduction of EGNSS in Railways by consolidating (including through experimentation and simulations) the related new set of System requirements to be introduced in EGNOS, and developing the preliminary inputs to the SBAS/Railway System and User standards. The study aims at consolidating the work initiated for promoting the usage of EGNOS in Railways, which is based on a stepped introduction of the SBAS services. This activity belongs to Galileo/EGNOS Upstream RD which is part of the space component of Horizon Europe, under which, in line with the signed FFPA and relevant Contribution Agreement, ESA is delegated by the European Commission to manage this activity. ESA adapted procurement rules will apply as per the ITT to be published (open Competition in 2 stages).
