- There are a number of skate facilities in the municipality of Hoorn. The skating opportunities in the own neighborhood are small -scale and especially for beginners. There is a skate park (1,200 m2) in the Julianapark, which will be removed in 2025 due to state and location. It is the ambition to realize a new and larger skate park to offer users more options for skating, stepping and BMXEN. On the one hand accessible to offer space to get acquainted with these sports. On the other hand with sufficient challenge for the different skill levels. The skate park must strengthen and invite the social bond in and around the Julianapark; The new skate park takes into account the ambition to be climate neutral in 2040. It is up to the tenderer to see what possibilities with regard to this ambition (and sustainability) can be incorporated into the project.
