- There are a number of skating facilities in the municipality of Hoorn. The skating opportunities in your own neighborhood are small-scale and mainly for beginners. There is a skate park (1,200 m2) in the Juliana Park, which will be removed in 2025 due to its condition and location. The ambition is to create a new and bigger oneto realize a skate park to offer users more opportunities for skating, scootering and BMXing. On the one hand, it is accessible to offer space to become acquainted with these sports. On the other hand, with sufficient challenge for the different skill levels. The skate park must promote social bondingn strengthen and invite people around the Juliana Park; The new skate park takes into account the ambition to be climate neutral by 2040. It is up to the tenderer to examine what options with regard to this ambition (and sustainability) can be incorporated into the project.
