The energy transition is a major challenge for the Netherlands and its municipalities. An important part of this transition is to make the built environment more sustainable, in particular the existing owner -occupied homes. These homes must be prepared for a future without natural gas and with a lower energy demand. This not only contributes to the climate objectives, but also to the living comfort, health and the wallet of the residents. Many owners of owners want to isolate their house, but do not know how to approach it, which parties they can trust, or how they can finance this. That is why municipalities of Goirle, Hilvarenbeek and Oisterwijk have taken the initiative to set up local insulation projects.
