Medium-voltage cables are grouped in sets of three in a triangular configuration. This arrangement reduces the magnetic field between the cables, optimizing energy flow and minimizing net energy loss. Currently, the bundling of medium-voltage (MV) cables is a labor-intensive, manual process. Cables are grouped in sets of three and tied with a tie wrap every meter. With thousands of kilometers of MV cables planned for installation in the near future, this bundling task is increasingly time-consuming. Additionally, the repetitive nature of the work places significant physical strain on workers. Addressing both efficiency and workforce well-being is crucial to the success of this large-scale project. In an ideal scenario, the bundling process for medium-voltage (MV) cables would be streamlined to improve both efficiency and worker welfare. The goal is to implement a solution that can group cables quickly and accurately without requiring manual intervention at every meter.
