• Description:
• The national monument Raadhuis De Paauw, located at Raadhuislaan 22 in Wassenaar (Netherlands), is being transformed into a contemporary, functional and hospitable administrative center, in which the municipal council, clerk's office, the mayor and aldermen and civil servants are housed. The project aims to be a harmonious combination of the rich historic character with modern efficiency, comfort and sustainability. The total size of the project is approximately 3,400 m². For the Raadhuis De project Paauw has contracted an integral design team, consisting of Happel Cornelisse Verhoeven, Deerns and LBP Sight. IGG construction economy has been appointed as construction cost expert and Strackee acts as construction advisor. The main design principles of the renovation and restoration of De Paauw Town Hall include: • The development of a new workplace concept. • The addition of a catering function in the building. • The replacement of all outdated installations. • Making the Town Hall more sustainable. • The integration of an elevator for optimal accessibility.
