Description:
The European Control Regulation for Fisheries requires a continuous measurement of the engine power for some vessels from 1 January 2028. Although it is not yet known exactly which vessels this will apply, it is already known that it will in any case be fishing vessels that are active in the Dutch coastal zone. This means that in any case the shrimp fishing will be confronted with this obligation. The client anticipates this obligation through this project by gaining proactive experience with continuming engine power. Given the relevance of the results At the European level, the client takes other Member States with this and the results and recommendations within the European Union will be shared. In the event of a successful conclusion after the first project phase, the client wishes to proceed with the implementation of the Continum measurement system From the engine power.
