- The municipality of Amsterdam is responsible for the proper functioning of the sewer and leaves its construction and management to the Waternet Foundation.
The management and maintenance of the sewer system includes:
- Cleaning and inspecting rainwater sewers, wastewater sinks
- Cleaning dirty water sewer
- Empty of waste water sewers and gullies
- Cleaning reception cellars of sewage pumping stations
- Cleaning storage settling basins
During the execution of this work, RKG sludge (sewer, pumping station and pumping station sludge) is released and is transported by the contractor to a sludge processing location nearby.
Currently there is for Taking ownership of RKG sludge supplied by and/or on behalf of Waternet, management and processing of RKG sludge does not constitute an agreement with a sludge processor. To date, use has been made of the two sludge processing locations in the vicinity of the municipality of Amsterdam.
The main purpose of this tender is to conclude a framework agreement with two market parties for the receipt and processing of RKG sludge for a maximum period of 4 years.
