Description:
In 2028, the province of Utrecht wants to connect all important living, work, and school locations for the bicycle to double bicycle use in the province. The municipality of Woerden endorses these ambitions. One of these bicycle connections is the continued bike route between Woerden and Utrecht. The fast bike route runs from the station in Woerden to Utrecht Central. This fast bike route is laid out by the contracting authority within the municipal boundaries. The first part from the Woerden station to the Cattenbroeker tunnel has already been installed in a housing development. The part along the track and the near the football club and Tunnel Breeveld has already been awarded to a contractor. This project includes the realization of the Voorbietsroute Woerden - Utrecht, which is done in collaboration with the province of Utrecht. The tender includes the work with regard to the design of a through -bike route from Veldwijk to the Zandweg (municipal boundary). See Documents
