- General information Maastricht University (UM) is known at home and abroad for its unique education system: problem-based education (PBL). Furthermore, UM profiles itself through its strong international orientation. An increasing number students from all over the Netherlands and abroad choose the Maastricht system. The UM is the youngest university in the Netherlands and is growing rapidly. There are currently approximately 20,000 students and 5,000 employees. Education and research at UM is mainly organized on the basis of faculties and schools. More information about UM can be found on the website www.maastrichtuniversity.nl. Reason for the Tender The aim of this project is to realize a research and educational facility for smart systems, robotics and automation, complementary to and functional but preferably not physically separated from the existing Nick Bos Greenhouse. The facility supports research, education and valorization at the intersection of agrofood, technology and robotics. The scope of the assignment includes: Design and realization of a building with associated installations; where possible, it is preferable to use existing facilities and technology; Furnishing of research, testing and work areas; Facilitating facilities for robotics, greenhouse space and maker space activities.
