Description:
Description: Within the NFI (CFS department), a new MA-XRF scanner has arisen as a supplement to the current MA-XRF instrument. The current instrument has been written off and is starting to become less reliable, while the frequency with which the instrument is used in (case) investigations increases. The new system is needed to increase the research capacity and to increase the availability of this technique. For example, more case research and R&D can be carried out. The new MA-XRF scanner will be able to perform measurements faster and with a higher resolution by a new generation of X-ray optics and new detectors. Section 3.2 of the descriptive document described will be used by the MA-XRF equipment to investigate sporters and thereby map and record the presence and spread of traces with various dimensions and element compositions.
