Description:
Tenders are invited for Proof-of-Concept of Soop with Broadband Satcom Signals in Ku/Ka-Band With the rise of telecommunications mega constellations in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) such as Starlink, Kuiper or OneWeb, exploiting the signals opportunistically for positioning is a potential source for alternative PNT from space. The objective of the activity is to assess and validate the relevance for real world applications of PNT with signal of opportunities from broadband satellite communications systems operating in Ku/Ka-band with a proof-of-concept user equipment. The user equipment breadboard shall include an antenna tailored for PNT use cases, baseband signal processing algorithms as well as the PVT engine. Field trials are to be conducted to demonstrate the developed breadboard and algorithms both in an autonomous stand-alone mode and with assistance data (e.g. the satellite's ephemeris) being available. Based on the results of the field trials, a roadmap towards maturing the breadboard into a potential product development or service demonstration.Read more
