- Vitens intends to replace the drinking water production site at the Pinkenberg in Rozendaal. The new production location with a capacity of 2 Mm3/year will be built on a plot opposite the current location.
The new building concerns a production building consisting of 2 purification lines with elk 2 pressure filters, a distribution area with distribution and flushing water pumps, an (in-house) clean water reservoir, new underground infrastructure, nature-inclusive site design and replacement of the cabling to and from the extraction field (including replacement of 7 extraction well cellars).
The project has severalchallenges: deep basement construction close to the property boundary; limited building space with a lot of earthmoving; logistics; located in a residential area surrounded by national monuments and a Natura2000 area.
