Introduction
Vechtstromen Water Board intends to start the tender for the WFD Water Chain task in May 2024. The aim of this preliminary announcement is to inform interested market parties about the approach to this task, the tender planning and the expected size so that the marketparties can already prepare for the tender in view of the current planning.
Project description
For the WFD Water Chain task, the Vechtstromen Water Board aims to tackle 8 sewage treatment plants, hereinafter referred to as locations, in such a way that the nitrogen and phosphorus levels are reduced.reduced in the context of the European Water Framework Directive (WFD). Depending on the purpose, the exact assignment will differ per location, but the intention is to deliver the entire assignment before January 1, 2028.
The tender is expected to include 8 locations that will be selected based on their size.divided into 2 plots:
Plot 1: WWTPs Enschede, Hengelo and Goorstands. The smaller tasks under lot 2 consist of process optimizations in the water line and fabric filters at 2 locations.
