Description:
Pre-Development of Swir Detector for Sentinel-2 Next Generation Mission The objective of the SWIR detector pre-development activity FOR S2NG is to design, manufacture and test detector arrays optimised for meeting the mission needs and demonstrate their performance in the required environment with fully representative prototypes at TRL 5. Furthermore, considering the high number of flight model (FM) detectors required during the implementation phase and the associated high cost, the bidders will be requested to provide a development plan and ROM cost for the later production of the FM units. The evaluation and the selection of the SWIR detector contractor will thus be performed taking into account the estimated cost of the FM detectors, ensuring a fair competition, which would be nearly impossible to achieve after the completion of the pre-developmentactivity.
