- Description:
- Youth Care Plus concerns assistance to young people and families where a closed authorization is issued by the Children's Court. A closed authorization is issued because there are serious growing and upbringing problems and the young person is a danger shapes for itself or for its environment. This authorization is issued when other forms of assistance are insufficient. During a closed residential setting, a very intensive treatment process is used. This can include supervision and proximity be offered through freedom-restricting measures. The young person and his family also receive intensive treatment before, during and after the Youth Care Plus placement. In addition, guidance is provided in the field of education and training leisure activities. There is currently no contracted provider for Youth Care Plus for the Frisian municipalities. Within Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe there is cooperation in the supra-regional network 3Noord. This is the Implementation Agenda 3North established with agreements on joint policy development and contracting of scarce facilities, including Youth Care Plus. It has been agreed that Youth Care Plus will be phased out and the facility will be closed in due course. For the intermediate ones period, until December 31, 2029 at the latest, SDF wishes to join the agreement concluded between Groningen and Drenthe with Elker, whereby additional guidance or treatment can be used in very specific cases...
