- Description:
- With the PHS Nijmegen project, the railway and Nijmegen station are being prepared for the expected growth in passenger and freight transport by rail. By adjusting the tracks and points, trains can enter and leave at a higher speed and the reliability of the service is improvedarrangement improved. A third platform will be constructed with comfortable facilities and a platform roof that matches the monumental character of the station. The (escalator) stairs and lifts to the platforms will be renovated in such a way that more travelers can use them. The current passenger tunenel will be completely renovated and extending it will provide access to a new western entrance. A stabling area will be constructed at the Wolfskuil for parking, cleaning and technical inspection of trains and facilitating facilities will be realized. In the project, groot maintenance carried out on the cast iron platform covers due to renovation.
