Description:
The current framework agreement will expire soon. The purpose of this European tender is to conclude a Framework Agreement between RIVM and one Contractor for the execution of Sanger Sequencing, fragment analyses, next and third generation sequencing.
The assignment concerns the execution of:
•Sanger sequencing: on average +/- 100 samples per year
• Fragment analyses, mainly MLVA (Multiple-Locus Variable number of tandem repeat Analysis): only in 2024 +/- 12,000 samples after which no further sales are expected
• Next-generation sequencing (NGS ) and Third-generation sequencing (TGS): average +/- 225 samples per year, using the following platforms:

NGS
• Illumina (short/medium reads)
TGS
• PacBio (long reads)
• Oxford nanopore technology (ONT ) (long reads)[JH1]

Developments in the field of sequencing are moving rapidly, making it difficult to estimate whether the volume will increase or decrease. No rights can therefore be derived from the above numbers.
The scope of the assignment also includes:
• Supplierng of packaging material (packaging and shipping material)
• Transport of samples
• Library preparation
• DNA isolation
• Data analysis
