- P1004645 replaced aircraft braking installation When using a start and runway through combat aircraft, an aircraft braking installation (VAI) was installed at the end of the track. In the event of a calamity at a start of landing, a VAI will safely stand the aircraft by means of the cable, if equipped with catch hook. Because the start and runway on both sides can be used by combat aircraft, every job has two VAIs. The current VAIs must be replaced by the Main Head of Air Base Volkel. 2883111 Reconstruction overruns simultaneously with the replacement of the VAI, the reconstruction will also take place at the overruns 06L and 24R.
