- The Centre for Population Screening of the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment is continuously looking for opportunities to further optimize the Dutch Newborn Bloodspot Screening (NBS) program. This market consultation is looking for information on technical possibilities for optimization that are or will become available for tandem mass spectrometry screening, as well as opportunities to screen for homocystinuria (HCY). Tandem mass spectrometry is widely used in the Dutch NBS, and advancements in equipment or assay kits can improve the current screening algorithms or enable the addition of new diseases, such as HCY. We encourage both current providers of tandem MS products for dried bloodspots and/or HCY test providers, and those who have yet to enter the market to share their perspective.
