- Through this European tender, the TU/e expects to contract one supplier that can deliver network components within this framework agreement for the business operations of the client. The client is largely based on deliveries where in a limited number of cases (if the contractor chooses) the installation can also be made by the client. The TU/e network platform provides a LAYER3 LAN Networkbackbone, Wired and Wireless Network Access to users, Serveraccess, among other things in a commercial data center, and Network Security (Firewalls, VPN, etc.). Buildings, the data center and satellite locations are linked on the basis of lanprotocols (Fiber, Ethernet and IP) without the intervention of MPLS, S2S VPN, SDWAN etc. Internet connectivity is supplied by SURF (BGP); Microsoft Azure Connectivity is based on Ethernet couplings and Azure Expressroute with BGP, also via SURF. The network is partly zoned with firewalls.
