Description:
Tenders are invited for Navisp-el1-073 Trusted Pnt for Unmanned Aerial Systems - Expro+. Urban Air Mobility is expected to become a reality in Europe within 3-5 years, and therefore the development in PNT needs to anticipate the stringent needs of future Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) applications such as remotely piloted or fully autonomous aerial taxis or parcel delivery drones. Currently, the difficulty to associate an adequate level of trust in the UAS-specific PNT solutions is blocking the transition of UAS from operating in Line-of-Sight scenarios to Beyond Vision LOS and Non-LOS operations.This activity aims to investigate and demonstrate integrity concepts for UAS relying on hybridisation and diversification of navigation sensors (legacy and alternative PNT techniques, inertial and other types of sensors). It will investigate assessing the feasibility of protection level concepts for different types of navigation sensors, developing PNT architectures suitable for the aforementioned use cases and evaluating their navigation performances, including integrity performances.Read more
