- In order to have sufficient scanning capacity for the future, it was decided to realize this scanning capacity in the existing building of the National Archives in Emmen. This means that the existing depot must be converted into a scanning room and a new one in the vacant basement create a deposit. The end result is the realization of a scanning room in an existing depot, including the related areas on the ground floor. Following the realization of the scanning room, the vacant space in the basement will be adapted to make it suitable for a new depot. Important aspect of these activities is that the National Archives is open for visitors and employees to carry out regular activities there on site.
