- Description:
- The Radiology & Nuclear Medicine department has 9 MRI systems including a PET MRI system. It concerns both 1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla systems. At the moment all MRiscanners in Erasmus MC from Ge Healthcare are. All MRI systems are equipped with a contrast insignor. Contrasting injectors are also used for the CT scanners and in the intervention rooms in the department. The department currently uses Bayer injectors of the type MRXPERion and Spectis Solaris EP. The current situation is that spraying system is used with a singleuse spraying. In 2024 the department wants to replace a number of MRI injectors and all other injectors will be replaced within the next few years. The aim is ultimately to ensure as much uniformity as possible. The Department wants to purchase contrasting injectors that are specifically designed for multipatient use.
