- Due to their region- and time-sensitive activities, Govsatcom users require ubiquitous coverage, reliable connection, and fast data rates. These requirements ultimately ensure that governments are capable to respond quickly and effectively to emerging threats to humans and the environment. Therefore, the main objective of the activity is to define, develop, and verify the end-to-end components needed to allow a prototype user terminal to seamlessly switch between geostationary (GEO), medium Earth (MEO), and low Earth (LEO) orbits. The design shall include a mechanism to hand-over user traffic seamlessly between connected data gateways.
