Description: The North Holland North Environment Agency (OD NHN) performs environmental checks for 17 municipalities and the province of Noord-Holland. A total of around 17,000 establishments are checked on a regular basis. They are mainly establishments in the agricultural sector and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The assignment is to perform full (integral) environmental controls at companies and institutions within the working area of the OD NHN. This supervision is based on the applicable rules to protect the environment and the living environment. The selection of establishments to be visited is based on a risk strategy and depending on the category (2 to 4) assigned to objects and settings (2 to 4) with associated control frequency and is indicated per calendar year, starting on January 1, 2022. The objective is to conclude a separate framework agreement with three parties for carrying out environmental checks.
