Description:
Tenders are invited for Mastering Parachute Loading: Preliminary Design and Function Prototyping. The objective of the present activity is to improve the understanding of parachute asymmetric loading and the knowledge of parachute triggering by investigating an integrated sensors suite and novel test strategy. This shall be achieved by covering the following steps:1)Design and prototype a small tensiometer to be incorporated in parachute lines.2)Measure and analyse asymmetry in inflation loads of an instrumented parachute (i.e. with prototyped tensiometer).3)Analyse sources of inflation loads dispersion and isolate variability due to the triggering strategy.4)Identify, trade-off and select the optimal triggering method/algorithm to reduce loads dispersion.5)Perform testing to validate the selected triggering strategy.6)Compare experimental data obtained on inflation loads asymmetry and dispersion with numerical predictions.7)Elaborate recommendations for future work to further improve parachute loading understanding Price Range: 500 KEURO Open Date: 07/03/2024 10:03 CET Closing Date: 04/04/2024 13:00 CET
