Description:
This orientation is organized in preparation for a possible European tender for supplying sustainably generated electricity to eight provinces. These provinces are: Flevoland, Gelderland, Limburg, Noordbrabant, Noordholland, Utrecht, Zeeland and Zuidholland. The eight provinces have formed a collective for purchasing sustainable electricity, namely collective energy purchasing provinces (CEP2.0), where the province of Utrecht acts as a point of contact. The aim of market orientation is to get a current picture of the possibilities to purchase electricity. The provinces would like to know what the consequences of market changes are and how this can influence the future energy supply of the provinces. The provinces have previously set the goal of: "to consume 100% sustainable energy -generated energy by 2030 without the use of fossil fuels". The solution must fit within the preconditions: sustainability, affordability and availability (security of delivery) of energy.
