- Description : This market consultation is performed by TenneT TSO B.V., in this document also referred to as the Principal. Principal is the Netherlands' Transmission System Operator (TSO), operator of the national high-voltage transmission grid with a voltage level of 110 kV and higher. This grid connects all regional grids in the Netherlands to one another and to the European grid. Besides managing the grid, Principal also monitors the reliability and continuity of the national electricity supply. It does so by impartially making the transmission grid available for power transmission and by maintaining the necessary balance between electricity supply and demand in the Netherlands. Given that the transmission of electricity is not confined within national borders, Principal collaborates with other European TSOs in order to create a strong Northwest European electricity grid.
