Description:
As part of the preparation for a public European tender for 'Stairlifts', the Westfriesland region (consisting of the 7 municipalities of Hoorn, Medemblik, Koggenland, Stede Broec, Enkhuizen, Drechterland, Opmeer) is submitting a short written market consultation. The municipalities in the Netherlands are responsible for the implementation of the Social Support Act (Wmo). The support from the Wmo includes, among other things, the installation of stair lifts in residents' homes, when they are required to do so mobility problems are unable to use their stairs independently. The aim is to enable them to live independently in their own home for as long as possible. Currently the delivery, installation and maintenance (and possible repairs) of stair lifts within the region carried out on the basis of an agreement with one external supplier. Due to the expiry of the current contract, the supply and maintenance of stair lifts will be put out to tender again in 2026.
