Description: The Hubertus tunnel was put into use in 2008. The tunnel is part of the northern Randweg and runs from the land separation road to the Hubertus viaduct. The Hubertus tunnel is a city tunnel for car traffic and consists of two drilled tubes with a total length of approximately 1600 meters. Two lanes have been applied in each tunnel tube. The permitted maximum speed in the tunnel is 70 km / hour.
In the meantime, the tunnel is in use almost 15 years daily and various systems are at the end of their lifespan and must be replaced. Given the Hubertustom Tunnel is owned by and in management at the municipality of The Hague, the municipality of The Hague intends to renovate the tunnel.
