• Assen opts for a fundamentally different way of organizing. The municipality of Assen is at an important crossroads in the further development of the social domain. The current way of organizing help and support is no longer future-proof. We are confronted with rising costs, increasing shortages of qualified personnel and a growing and more complex demand for support. At the same time, residents and professionals experience that support is too often fragmented and organized comes with bureaucracy. This requires a fundamental change in the way support is organized. Continuing the way we are working now is not an option. To keep support accessible, affordable and people-oriented, a move towards: a new way of organizing: closer to residents, simpler and in connection with the social base.
