Description:
The library of the House of Representatives holds about 25,000 historical books. These are currently cataloged in the Computerized Common Catalog System (GGC) managed by OCLC. Within two years, the House of Representatives would like to switch to another cataloging systemtem for the historical book collection and possibly for other physical heritage collections, such as the magazine collection. For a new cataloging system, she is looking for a future-proof solution for collection management in which her librarians have a lot of control over the files.writing of the library records while at the same time providing a lot of space to export the data and integrate it with our other systems and operations and with WorldCat. In addition, the new system must be very secure, because the library function and its employees are in a prominent organizationsatie work in the Netherlands.
