Description:
The aim of this market consultation is to collect knowledge and insights from market parties in preparation for the tender major maintenance three cast -iron lighthouses. RWS wants to have major maintenance carried out on the three cast iron lighthouses mentioned below: • Kijkduin (Lange Jaap), Zeeweg 5, Huisduinen (Den Helder); • Scheveningen, Zeekant 12, Scheveningen (The Hague); • Westkapelle Laag (Noorderhoofd), Zeedijk 5, Westkapelle. The three lighthouses are made up of cast iron. RWS has found that there are various cracks the body and floors of these lighthouses. In addition, there is progression of that cracking. There is no knowledge or experience within RWS with the implementation of large -scale maintenance of this type of construction. This is also the reason that RWS has contracted an engineering firm to investigate different scenarios in order to choose the best solution (the preferred solution). RWS would like to have this preferred solution carried out by an executive contractor, but also that the contractor contributes his expertise to the preferred solution.
