Description:
Spaarnelanden is currently applying the train method to collect large volume leaf waste and that means that leaf blowers will be adjusted. The client was asked to see if there is a quiet (er) method to collect the leaf waste. Spaarnelanden is in possession of both electric and gasoline leaf blazers. The tools are alternated in the season to keep the efficiency high: according to the version, the electric variant is not suitable for all seasons and jobs. The leaf waste is heavy in the season (October to December) because of the weather conditions. The electric leaf blower now yields too little bladder power to move the waste. The following questions are central within this market consultation: • What innovations are used in other countries? • Is the current method (train methodology) the most efficient? • Are there other parties who have investigated this? If so, whether this information can be shared with us. • Is there a leaf suction system to supplement the current collection process? If not, is there a party that can develop this together with Spaarnelanden?
