For the collection of the National Digital Library, the Koninklijke Bibliotheek has a budget available annually on behalf of the Public Libraries purchasing committee to purchase digital content. This digital content (ebooks, audio books, digital learning resources and sources, etc.) can be used in public libraries and offered to their members. Every year the purchasing committee determines which content is purchased in this package. This takes into account, among other things, diversity in the supply and use of the content in previous years. The KB buys this content on the recommendation of the purchasing committee. The market consultation is about purchasing ec courses for adults for educational digital content. The purchasing of Ecursusen/Digital Content contributes to the realization of 3 social tasks in which the library has a natural role of significance: 1.
