The University of Amsterdam (UvA) and Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) have a collection of digitized and digital-born objects, mostly from the library, museum and archive collections for which the library is responsible. Currently, the library has no structural solution for storage, access and long-term preservation of these materials.

The Market Consultation is a separate process that is being executed prior to a formal tender process and is mutually noncommittal, with full transparency and without any commitments. By using the knowledge and skills of the economic operator, the UvA/AUAS can check the conditions to be applied in proposed projects regarding their correctness, completeness and feasibility. This helps in determining the feasibility and to determine the optimal conditions to execute the project.
