Description: Water Board Rijn en IJssel wants to tender the project "Expansion sludge fermentation Nieuwgraaf" through a construction team and contacts market parties to submit a number of questions in writing. Subsequently, an oral explanation may be requested. Rhine and IJssel supply water board has as an ambition to create as much value as possible from sludge. In this project we want to achieve this by producing biogas through sludge fermentation. We want to use biogas as a replacement for fossil natural gas for making our environment more sustainable. Within this project, the biogas will therefore be stored into green gas and delivered to the natural gas network. This moment is not yet fermented by the sludge of the Rijn and IJssel Water Board (approx. 75%). Various options have been investigated in a sludge strategy study to achieve a complete fermentation of all the purification sludge of the water board. Full fermentation leads in addition to a higher yield of sustainable energy in the form of biogas but also to reducing the amount of sludge to be drained and thus saves costs for sludge sales. The sludge of the WWTP Lichtenvoorde, including the currently Hiero. .
