The Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology (KFF) department of the UMCG wants to automate the storage and issue of opiates in the central warehouse. The KFF also wants to implement an automated emergency cupboard at the Beatrixoord location. The considerations for this are to obtain improved registrationAnd control of opiates (central warehouse) and medication (Beatrixoord) to be issued in evening and night shift, so that legislation can be met in a more efficient manner and, moreover, financial management and patient safety are promoted. Through the implementation of automatedMedication issue is realized full traceability and registration at the patient level, including a comprehensive registration of opiates and other medication. The system must be able to be expanded in the long term, so that the medication supply in nursing departments and the OR automatedcan be.
