Description: Market consultation 2: Equipment Cardiovascular Intervention Center (CVIC) IntroductionAMC and the VUmc have been merger partners under the name Het Amsterdam UMC since 7 June 2018. Because of this merger, they together form one cardiology department, spread over two main locations. An important portfolio choice of the Amsterdam UMC is to concentrate on the Cardiovascular care at the AMC location. The choice fits in with the formation of one intervention center in which the medical specialisms intervention cardiology and electrophysiology, vascular interventional radiology and interventeenuroradiology come together in one joint cardiovascular intervention center Amsterdam, location AMC. In the new center, every discipline has its own intervention treatment room with a joint holding company where patient reception and recording are included options as well as sleeping and dismissal rooms. An MRI is also part of the cardiovascular intervention center and will be specially equipped for MRI -led cardiac interventions and in particular for cardiological and vascular imaging.
