Description:
The Contract involves the delivery and maintenance of VHF fixed and VHF+UHF mobile radios for Air Traffic Control. The radios will be used as Last Resort Radios that guarantee safe air traffic communication in case the primary system, the Voice Communication System, fails. The NLMOD new VHF and UHF Air Traffic Control radios (225-400 MHz and 370-870 MHz), because our current radios have reached their End Life Of Type. The Last Resort Radios will be procured in different lots: Lot 1: 58 VHF Last Resort Radios needed for use in air traffic control towers at our military airports Lot 2: 21 man portable VHF+UHF (both functionalities) Last Resort Radios needed for use in “out of area”locations, where the radio needs to operate as a stand-alone unit with its own power supply and antenna. After delivery, we need at least three (3) years of maintenance, with the option to extend the Maintenance Agreement by 12 months twice. This maintenance will be mostly Depot Level Maintenance (mostly repairs of the radios), and some Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM). Most ILM as well as Operator Level maintenance (OLM), will be performed by NLMOD.
