She does this to be able to continue to deliver enough drinking water at now and in the future at socially acceptable costs. Vitens strives for solutions with which location independently large -scale surface water, groundwater and possibly other sources can be purified into drinking water. These solutions are characterized by multiple source use, flexible and rapid upscaling (modular), suitable for being able to absorb the changing water demand in the future, relieve or replace non-sustainable existing extraction and have a limited or positive impact on the environment .
